虹の学校は2008年、当時就学機会のなかった山岳民族の孤児や貧困家庭の子供達のためにミャンマーとの国境に程近いカンチャナブリ県サンクラブリ郡のフアイマライ村にて創立されました。 創立当初とは教育制度や社会状況も随分変化してきましたが、国籍を持たず依然として厳しい境遇に立たされている子供達がいるのが現実です。虹の学校はオルタナティブ教育を実施する学習センターとして山岳民族の子供達を受け入れ、生活および教育支援をおこなっています。「虹色の架け橋で美しい地球を未来につなぐ」ことをビジョンとして掲げ、日々の生活と教育を通して、次代に思いを馳せ今を生きることができる人材育成を目指しています。 In 2008, Rainbow school was founded in a village of Fuai Malai, Sangkhlaburi in Kanchanaburi near the border of Myanmar, for the hill top tribal children who were orphanage and from extreme poverty. Although the national school system and social climate in Thailand has changed over the decade, there hasn’t been any change in the fact that there are still children who have no official IDs and live under severe conditions. Rainbow school offers these children a safe space to live and study as a learning center with an alternative educational programmes. Our vision is “Creating a Rainbow bridge for our bright future and beautiful planet”, fostering skills needed to live in the current society by supporting children’s everyday life and education. ◇なぜ皆様からのご支援を必要としているのか？ 虹の学校は子供達の家であり学校でもあります。学校の運営、子供達の生活には多くの資金が必要です。また、現在は将来使用予定のある借地での活動のため新天地（2018年に購入済）での学舎建設費も必要です。（地主さんがご高齢のため可能な限り早く返却したいこと、約40名で活動・生活するには手狭であることが理由です） 2020年度には約30名の子供達の生活と教育を維持するための運営費と新天地での建設に以下の費用がかかりました。 ＊2020年度支出 □教育費 ¥3,396,723（教材・研修・人件費含む） □食費 ¥643,856 □生活費 ¥1,215,541（家賃・光熱・医療費等含む） □その他 ¥1,187,367（ビザ・プロジェクト費用） ■小計 ¥6,443,488（運営費） □建設費 ¥2,042,771 ■合計 ¥8,486,259（運営費＋建設費） ＊1THB=3.39円で換算（2020年の平均レート） ◇Why do we need your support now? Rainbow school functions as a home for children and a place to learn. It requires a great amount of fund for sustaining the school management and children’s lives. We also need fund to build our school building in a piece of land we purchased in 2020. At the moment we are renting our space, where is not large enough for 40 children and staff to live. ＊The cost breakdown of 2020 is below Management Education ¥3,396,723 (Educational materials, training and wages) Food ¥643,856 Bills ¥1,215,541 (Rent, electricity, water, car, and medical care) Others ¥1,187,367 (Visas and project management) Total ¥6,443,488 Construction ¥2,042,771 Grand total ¥8,486,259 ＊1THB= ¥3.39(Currency converter in 2020) これまでは運営費の多くをタイ国内および世界各国からご来校下さった皆様からの寄付金によって賄って参りましたが、covid-19の流行により来校者が激減し、ご寄付を募ることが大変困難な状況となりました。このような体制では今後も安定した運営が難しいことから、2021年より里親さんの募集をおこなうことに致しました。子供たちの生活・就学、虹の学校の安定した活動継続のため、何卒ご協力を宜しくお願い申し上げます。 ・2022年1月現在、生徒数32名、スタッフ6名 Before the pandemic, we mainly relied upon donations from visitors from Thailand and abroad. However, due to the covid-19 and having almost no visitors, it became really difficult to receive enough donation. We decided to set up a new and different donating system with unforeseeable circumstances, in order to continue to support these marginalised children. We greatly appreciate your support.
